How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four*?

Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

If the trial is a success, we’ll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join #teamOFG!

If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of pupils, we have the role for you!

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Brookthorpe Hall School, Gloucester, GL4 0UN

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 16:30

Salary: £22,300 per annum (not pro rata)

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Part-time would be considered for the right applicant

About the role

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our educational team and help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate pupils, and achieve positive outcomes for our young people.

This role involves working mainly on a 1:1 basis with pupils to support their transition into school and their academic and personal progress.

Please provide specific examples of how you have supported pupils on a 1:1 basis to improve outcomes and detail the impact that this had.

Who we are looking for

We seek dynamic and passionate individuals with experience working with young people with complex learning needs. Creativity and innovation in supporting our pupils and their families are highly valued.

An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for Brookthorpe Hall School. If you are an inspirational, highly motivated, forward-thinking person with energy and passion to change lives, and proven experience in whole school development, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

In return, we offer outstanding career opportunities, access to a network of senior colleagues within Options Autism, and the chance to shape the future and development of the school.
