Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant in Cardiff to support lessons across KS1 and KS2. You will provide flexible classroom assistance and 1-1 support as needed, contributing to a warm, inclusive learning environment.

Role is part-time with potential for longer hours; great CPD opportunities and competitive hourly rates. Successful candidates will join a supportive team across multiple primary schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary education setting.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with ALN would be advantageous.
• Confidence supporting pupils both within the classroom and on a 1-1 basis.
• A warm, patient and passionate approach to supporting children.
• Flexibility and the willingness to work across KS1 and KS2.
• A positive and adaptable approach to working within different classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons and pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Are you confident supporting lessons while being flexible enough to provide 1-1 support when required?

Do you have experience or knowledge of supporting children with ALN?

The schools are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can become a positive part of the classroom and wider school community.

We are looking for a flexible Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis, supporting lessons and pupils across KS1 and KS2 in whichever classroom requires additional support. The successful Teaching Assistant will also be comfortable providing 1-1 support when required, with opportunities for long-term part-time and full-time work available for the right individual.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary education setting
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with ALN would be advantageous
• Confidence supporting pupils both within the classroom and on a 1-1 basis
• A warm, patient and passionate approach to supporting children
• Flexibility and the willingness to work across KS1 and KS2
