Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Cardiff is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, assisting pupils to reinforce learning and maintain a positive classroom environment. You will work closely with the teacher to deliver targeted support and ensure inclusive practice.

Role involves lesson delivery assistance, behaviour management, and small group or one-on-one support. DBS update and EWC registration are required; a competitive PAYE weekly rate is offered

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in primary/secondary classrooms to support learning.
• Ability to work with pupils to reinforce learning and provide one-on-one support.
• DBS check (Update Service) or willingness to obtain; registered with EWC.

About the role

Connex Education is partnering with Primary Schools across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants. You will be supporting the class teacher with behaviour management, providing additional instruction, and assisting with classroom activities. You should be able to work closely with pupils to reinforce learning, offer one-on-one support, and ensuring a positive learning environment.

Assignment details

A primary teaching assistant you will be working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will support the class teacher by helping with lesson delivery, managing classroom behaviour, and providing individual or small group support to pupils. You will assist in preparing learning materials, monitoring pupil progress, and creating a positive, inclusive environment. Your role is essential in helping young learners develop foundational skills, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.

• Aged 18 and over
• C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
