Job summary

The Icknield Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning within a positive, inclusive classroom. This role is based at Anglian Learning's partner school and offers term-time working with a clear pattern of 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will assist individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, build independence and reach their potential, while safeguarding and promoting

Qualifications

• Have experience of working with children or young people in a school or similar educational setting.
• Hold GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and maths.
• Have good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills.
• Be enthusiastic, positive and committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Be able to build supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting pupils' wellbeing.

Salary: Cambridgeshire Scale 3, point 5-6, £25,583 to £25,989 FTE (pro-rata based on weeks worked)

This post is advertised at the pre 2026/27 pay award salary rate. The successful candidate's salary will be adjusted in line with the agreed 2026/27 pay award once implemented.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only). The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Expected Start Date: To be confirmed, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
