Job Title: Teaching Assistants to join Plymouth Cast Trust Bank - Full time and Part Time Roles

We are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and support our students and teachers effectively.

Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to support students across various age groups and abilities.

Your responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support, and helping maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery, including setting up resources and materials.
  • Provide individual or small group support to students requiring additional assistance.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and support professionals to ensure smooth classroom operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student development.
  • Flexibility to work across different year groups and classroom settings.
  • Qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
