TeacherActive is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term post at a welcoming primary school in Bargoed. January start, Monday to Friday, with a focus on play-based learning and ALN support to help pupils develop confidence and social skills.

You will work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, inclusive environment, build strong relationships with pupils and families, and assist with daily routines and activities.

Salary: £85.50 – £93 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Temporary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis from January.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and classroom routines
• Encouraging learning through play, exploration and creative activities
• Providing additional support to pupils with ALN where required
• Helping children develop their communication, social and emotional skills
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience working with children in an Early Years or Primary School setting
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
• Confidence supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• An understanding of play-based learning and early childhood development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to use initiative and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
• A genuine passion for helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills
