Job summary

REESON Education are seeking a reliable and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing educational setting in Doncaster (DN6). You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access learning and develop independence.

Key responsibilities include supporting class tasks, following learning and behaviour plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with staff, parents, and external professionals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a school, childcare, or support setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in following learning and behaviour plans.
  • A proactive, flexible, and encouraging approach to supporting learners.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

You will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them access learning, promoting independence, and supporting their emotional, behavioural, and academic development. You will encourage participation, follow structured support plans, and help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
