Job summary

Tadley Court School is recruiting a Teaching and Learning Support Lead (Primary) to join the education team. You will lead a group of teaching assistants, provide coaching and appraisal, and work with the Phase Lead to embed teaching and learning across an assigned key stage.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with autism is preferred but training will be given.
• Ability to mentor and coach teaching assistants.

We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching and Learning Support Leads, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across an assigned key stage. The successful candidates will work alongside the relevant Phase Lead, embedding teaching and learning and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, staff and parents acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

You will be responsible for a group of teaching assistants providing support, guidance, mentoring, coaching, supervision and appraisal.

At Tadley Court we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 4 to 19 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi-rural location with four acres of well-maintained grounds. We are a day school accommodating pupils between the age of 4 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding. We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.
