Job summary

North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) is seeking a Teaching and Learning Coach to build inclusive teaching practices and support High Needs learners (EHCPs). The role focuses on mentoring staff, delivering CPD, and collaborating with curriculum teams to raise outcomes across the college.

The successful candidate will have a track record of exceptional teaching, a degree or equivalent qualification, and a recognised teaching qualification (DTTLS/PGCE/Cert Ed).

Qualifications

• Consistent track record of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience with High Needs learners and EHCPs (mainstream or discrete settings).
• Ability to mentor and coach staff, focusing on inclusive practice and EHCP/High Needs support.
• Degree or equivalent qualification (or working towards) or relevant experience.
• Teaching qualification (DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exemplary teaching practices and inspire inclusive strategies to improve EHCP/High Needs outcomes.
• Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring and deliver CPD sessions.
• Promote technology-enhanced teaching approaches to engage students.
• Contribute to TLA audits, Quality Cycles and improvement processes with central resource banks.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to share best practice across the Teaching and Learning Coaches.

Duties/responsibilities

• Demonstrate exemplary teaching practice and inspire colleagues to adopt inclusive strategies that improve outcomes for EHCP and High Needs learners.
• Support and Develop Staff by providing one-to-one coaching, mentoring new staff and delivering CPD sessions during central CPD days and weekly TLA cycles
• Promote creative and technology-enhanced approaches to teaching and learning that engage and empower students.
• Contribute to TLA audits, Quality Cycles, and improvement processes, develop and maintain a central bank of TLA resources for teachers, and keep accurate records of monitoring and tracking systems.
• Build strong links with curriculum teams to provide tailored support and share best practice, working closely with the other Teaching and Learning Coaches so there is consistency to approach across the team.
