Nottingham City Council is seeking a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) to join the Sensory and Physical Team. You will provide specialist educational support to deaf children aged 0-25 across Nottingham City, working with families, settings and partner agencies to enable access, inclusion and achievement.
The role requires QTS and the mandatory qualification for ToD, strong communication and SEND knowledge, and a willingness to travel across the city.

Salary: MPG +TLR2b fully qualified pro rata for part time
Location: Dragon Court, Woolsthorpe Close, Bilborough, Nottingham NG8 3BP with extensive travel across Nottingham City Schools and Settings

Nottingham City Council is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) to join our well-established Sensory and Physical Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of deaf children and young people aged 0-25 across Nottingham City. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist educational support, advice and guidance to children, families, early years settings, schools, colleges and partner agencies.
The successful candidate will work directly with deaf children and young people to promote access, achievement, inclusion and independence. You will support educational settings to develop effective strategies and approaches that enable learners to reach their full potential.
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
