A leading educational institution in Birmingham is seeking a resilient and dynamic SENCo to lead a small SEND team. The role involves ensuring that the special educational needs of pupils are met and driving SEND initiatives for inclusive practice. The ideal candidate will have QTS and the National SEND qualification, with a focus on creative teaching strategies to support students in overcoming educational disadvantages.
This SENCo role involves leading and quality assuring SEN practice within our KS3 and KS4 Centres. These centres provide education to young people with special needs who are unable to access mainstream education. Many of our young people have gaps in their education, and we strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our young people to access learning and make expected progress.
We are looking for a resilient and dynamic individual who can lead a small SEND team, ensuring the SEND needs of pupils are met. You should also be able to assist the Senior Leadership Team by driving forward SEND initiatives to work together towards successful outcomes for pupils through inclusive practice. You should have QTS and the National SEND qualification.
