We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in South Leicestershire seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team from after Easter. This is a full-time, long-term role until the end of the academic year, with a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking, are required.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and creative Science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as Science/STEM clubs and school trips.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ECTs are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
• Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
