Job summary

Solihull Alternative Provision Academy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join our expanding team within the SAPMAT trust. You will contribute to the Mathematics Department, deliver engaging lessons, and help shape schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum for our students who benefit from AP provision.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, bring rich teaching experience, and demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and developing young lives.

Qualifications

  • Must have QTS and experience teaching Mathematics in secondary education.
  • Experience with AP or challenging contexts is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics to AP students in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Develop appropriate schemes of work and teaching materials.
  • Participate in CPD and contribute to trust-wide initiatives.

Solihull Alternative Provision Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT) is an alternative provision where we provide innovative solutions for a number of students for whom mainstream education is simply not working (for a range of reasons). In our short lifetime thus far we have grown considerably and continue to expand as our provision evolves.

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will contribute to the teaching of the Mathematics Department & participate in the development of appropriate schemes of work, (syllabi, materials and teaching strategies) in line with the National Curriculum, Department Schemes of work and the school's aims and objectives.

The successful candidate will have QTS and rich experience & strong commitment in working at AP.
