Teacher of ICT/Computing

Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of ICT/Computing to join a large and welcoming secondary school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking for a full-time, long-term position in a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality ICT/Computing lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop both their technical knowledge and wider digital skills.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive ICT/Computing lessons.
- Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach GCSE Computing/ICT.
- Develop students' understanding of computing, programming, digital literacy and related technologies.
- Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of students with a wide range of abilities.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and engagement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Computing/ICT department and other members of staff.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
- Support students' academic, personal and social development.
- Follow school policies and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching ICT, Computing or a closely related subject within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Computing and digital technologies.
- The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to raising student achievement and maintaining high expectations.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, flexible and professional approach.
