Job summary

Bishopsgate School is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of Humanities for a Part Time (0.6 FTE) role from January 2027. You will help shape a flourishing Humanities provision and nurture intellectual curiosity at the heart of our educational philosophy.

The successful candidate will primarily teach pupils in years 6–8, collaborate across the school, and champion critical thinking, discussion, and a global perspective in every lesson.

As the school continues to develop its academic provision, there is significant scope to further enrich the Humanities curriculum, broaden enrichment opportunities and strengthen cross-curricular links that deepen pupils' understanding of the world around them.

The Role

The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping the future direction of Humanities at Bishopsgate, primarily teaching pupils in years 6-8. Working closely with colleagues across the school, they will contribute to a stimulating curriculum that challenges pupils academically while fostering curiosity and independent thought. This role extends beyond classroom teaching. It calls for an educator who can inspire discussion, encourage enquiry and champion the Humanities as an essential foundation for understanding society, culture and global change. We are seeking a teacher who:
