Cover People are recruiting a Secondary Teacher of Humanities for a Trafford school starting September 2026. The role covers History, Geography and Religious Education across KS3/KS4, with an emphasis on engaging, knowledge-rich teaching and high expectations.

Qualifications

Position: Secondary Teacher of Humanities (ECTs & Experienced Teachers)

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £150–£200 per day DOE

About the Role:
  • Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, including subjects such as History, Geography and Religious Education
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student is challenged to achieve their best
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and targeted intervention
  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities
