Job summary

Bishopsgate School is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of Humanities for a Part Time (0.6 FTE) role from January 2027. You will help shape a flourishing Humanities provision and nurture intellectual curiosity at the heart of our educational philosophy.

The successful candidate will primarily teach pupils in years 6–8, collaborate across the school, and champion critical thinking, discussion, and a global perspective in every lesson.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for humanities education.
• Enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity and academic ambition.
• Experience teaching Geography or History or related subjects.
• Philosophy & Ethics teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities to years 6–8 with engaging instruction.
• Inspire thoughtful discussion, enquiry and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich cross‑curricular links.
