A leading school in Winchester is seeking a full-time Teacher of History and Politics to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history and politics, capable of teaching across key stages. This role offers the chance to lead A-level politics for a qualified individual. The school seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified full-time teacher of history and politics.
The successful candidate will be a history/politics specialist with a strong command of both disciplines. For history, they will be required to teach across key stage 3 and possibly key stages 4 and 5, and should be confident in delivering a range of topics at these levels. Politics teaching is at key stage 5 only, covering British and American government and politics, alongside core and non-core ideologies. The opportunity to lead A-level politics may be available for a suitably qualified and interested candidate.
