The successful candidate will plan lessons that are stimulating, ambitious and accessible to all, nurturing a lasting passion for history and enabling students of every ability to reach their full potential. You will teach History to students aged 11-16, using the resources of the subject in an effective and imaginative way, and motivating students to produce work of the highest quality. You will work within established schemes of work and contribute actively to their review and development, supported by a Curriculum Leader and a collaborative department team

You will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have successful experience of teaching History to students aged 11-16. You will have a secure knowledge of the History curriculum and of the characteristics of high-quality teaching in the subject, and you will use data and assessment effectively to monitor progress, set targets and raise attainment.
