We are seeking an inspiring History teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Humanities faculty and help young people understand the past to shape their futures. The position is suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or experienced teachers.

Overview

Teacher of History. Full-time or part-time considered. Permanent position. Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential).
  • Bring history alive through creative, well-structured teaching that builds curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the national curriculum and plan for progress across all abilities.
  • Use assessment and data effectively to inform planning and ensure excellent student progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
  • Commit to inclusive teaching so all students can access and succeed in history.
  • Be open to feedback and professional development as part of a reflective, ambitious team.
  • Be a team player who contributes to the wider life and ethos of the school community.
