A new state-of-the-art secondary school in Winchburgh seeks a Teacher of English. We are seeking a Teacher of English to join Sinclair Academy, a new state-of-the-art secondary school that opened in August 2023. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, innovative, and inclusive school community.
The successful candidate will support the development of a unique Catholic school culture with a future-oriented curriculum that incorporates twenty-first-century pedagogies and digital technologies. The school has shared sports facilities of the highest standard and anticipates growing student numbers, reaching a capacity of 660 pupils by 2028, with potential expansion to 1,210 pupils.
This position is initially supporting curriculum areas across Sinclair Academy and Winchburgh Academy. The start date is anticipated to be 11th August 2025, subject to recruitment checks.

This role involves Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before starting employment, with costs covered by the candidate. The fee for a full PVG Scheme membership is £59, or £18 for existing members.
