MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As Teacher of English, your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering a broad and engaging English curriculum across KS3-KS5
Supporting student progress and attainment through high-quality teaching
Contributing to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental improvement
Playing an active role in pastoral support as a form tutor
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and wider stakeholders
Participating in quality assurance and staff development programmes
WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
Have experience teaching English at secondary level (teaching practice accepted)
Demonstrate strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment at KS3-KS4
Be a confident classroom practitioner with excellent communication and ICT skills
Be committed to raising student aspirations and achievement
Work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture
Be able to plan and deliver inclusive, motivating, and effective lessons
