Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality Computer Science, ICT, and Creative iMedia lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Monitor, assess and report student progress using data to drive interventions.
• Adapt teaching to support diverse learners including EAL/SEND.
• Maintain a safe, engaging digital learning environment in the computing suites.
• Collaborate with Computing and Business department to share best practices.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as Form Tutor, supporting student well-being and attendance.
• Lead or support digital extracurricular clubs (coding, gaming networks).
• Uphold safeguarding policies and communicate with parents about student performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver innovative, high-quality Computer Science, ICT, and Creative iMedia lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Inclusive Teaching: Adapt teaching strategies to support a highly diverse student demographic, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) and SEND learners.
• Digital Environment Management: Maintain a safe, engaging, and highly effective digital learning environment within the computing suites.
• Collaboration: Actively collaborate within the Computing and Business department to share best practices and resources.
• Pastoral Duties: Act as a dedicated Form Tutor, supporting the holistic personal development, well-being, and attendance of a assigned group of students.
• Extra-Curricular Engagement: Contribute to the wider school community by running digital extra-curricular clubs, such as coding or gaming networks.
• Safeguarding: Strictly uphold and promote the academy's rigorous safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure a safe learning space.
• Parental Engagement: Maintain positive, clear communication channels with parents and guardians regarding student effort, behaviour, and achievements.
