Science Teacher - Biology

The Science Faculty at Ashmole Academy has a well-established collaborative team committed to fostering curiosity about science in the world around us. Our curriculum encourages students to think like scientists while developing their knowledge and skills, inspiring the next generation of science specialists.

Biology is a popular subject within the Science Faculty, with a proven track record of high academic outcomes at GCSE and A Level. Many of our Biology students progress to study at Russell Group universities.

Our Science team contributes to pedagogical improvements across the school and strives to offer an engaging curriculum. This is complemented by strong extracurricular activities, including MedSoc and the Scholar’s programme.

In 2024, over two-thirds of our separate science students achieved at least a Grade 8, with approximately 30% achieving a Grade 9. About three-quarters of our combined science students achieved a grade 5 or above. At A-Level, around 60% of students achieved A*-B, and 25% achieved A*-A in Biology.
