Q - Are you a Teacher of Biology looking to join an Outstanding Secondary School in September 2025?

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Bexley is seeking a Teacher of Biology for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.

The current Biology Head of Department has helped the Biology Department grow significantly. The department comprises a mix of young, experienced, and Teach First Teachers, alongside multiple Biology graduate Teaching Assistants who support attainment across KS3, 4 & 5.

This school has achieved impressive Progress 8 results across all key stages and fosters a fun, creative learning environment for students.

Experienced Biology Teachers may have opportunities to take on TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities, and more.

Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) will be enrolled in the school’s bespoke ECT induction program and will work alongside a range of both young and experienced Biology Teachers.

Person Specification - Teacher of Biology

1. Must have UK QTS or be in the process of obtaining it
2. Strong academic background: Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
3. Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
4. Ability to work well within a large team of Biology Teachers
5. Willingness to accept feedback and grow professionally
