St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School is seeking an enthusiastic Art and Design teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3–5. You will foster creativity and student independence, planning engaging activities aligned with the department’s schemes of learning.

You will support learners in experimenting with materials and ideas, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to displays and school events.

Responsabilidades

• Teach KS3 Art and Design
• Where required, teach KS4 and KS5 Fine Art
• Where required, teach KS4 Three-dimensional design
• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with schemes of learning
• Foster creativity, technical confidence and independence through lessons
• Support students in developing confidence to experiment with ideas, materials and processes
• Provide thoughtful guidance and feedback to support progress
• Contribute to department displays, exhibitions and whole school events
• Work collaboratively within the Art and Design department to develop curriculum and assessment
• Maintain high expectations of student achievement and engagement
• Organise and maintain a positive and inspiring learning environment
• Maintain department resources and materials
• Raise standards of academic attainment in Art and Design
• Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching Art and Design and relevant curriculum developments
• Use prior attainment to set expectations for learners
• Set home learning that challenges students at all levels
• Self-reflect and collaborate to develop practice
