Job summary

Initio Learning Trust is seeking a Music Lead to join our teaching team from September 2025. The role offers 0.8 FTE for a suitable candidate and involves leading music with our senior leadership team to provide high-quality lessons and outstanding extra-curricular opportunities.

The successful candidate will build on Ofsted insights and lead a vibrant music program across multiple sites, with excellent facilities and a supportive Trust ethos. Applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our teaching team as Music Lead from September 2025. This post is suitable for an experienced subject lead or an ambitious and self‑motivated professional looking to progress in school leadership. The position may be offered on a part‑time (0.8) basis for a suitable candidate.

The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Leadership team to ensure that children receive high quality music lessons and outstanding extra‑curricular opportunities.

Ofsted assessment (January 2025): Outstanding in behaviour & attitude and personal development.

Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (M1 to M6/UP1 to UP3). A TLR 2.1 is offered for music (pro‑rated for part‑time roles).
