Job summary

Discovery Academy in Hattersley, Hyde, is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to cover a maternity leave in Key Stage 1, initially Year 2. The role requires understanding the progression from Early Years to KS1 and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.

We are a welcoming, hardworking team within Victorious Academies Trust, with robust safeguarding processes and a strong focus on wellbeing and collaboration.

Qualifications

• KS1 curriculum knowledge and expectations
• Experience supporting transitions from Early Years to KS1

Responsibilities

• Cover maternity leave as a KS1 teacher, initially Year 2.
• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum and school expectations.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to cover for a member of staff on maternity leave. The suitable candidate should understand the development of young children transitioning from Early Years to Key Stage 1. This post will be in Key Stage 1 (initially Year 2) and so a working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and expectations is an essential part of the role.
