The trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Teacher (Maternity Cover) at Discovery Academy , Porlock Avenue, Hattersley, Hyde, SK14 3LE.

To start 1st December 2026

Discovery Academy is a mainstream Primary school in Hattersley. Our values of Discovering, Inspiring, Caring, Improving and Achieving run through everything we do.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to cover for a member of staff on maternity leave. The suitable candidate should understand the development of young children transitioning from Early Years to Key Stage 1. This post will be in Key Stage 1 (initially Year 2) and so a working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and expectations is an essential part of the role.

The Teacher role is Full time with a Teacher Main Pay Scale - 1-6

The proposed timescale for the selection and interview process is as follows:

Observation will take place as part of the interview

Interviews will take place on Thursday 22nd October 2026.
