Job summary

Chorley New Road Primary Academy is seeking a Part-Time KS2 Maths Teacher to join a dedicated team. The role is 0.6FTE, mornings only from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Friday, fixed term to 31 August 2027. Start date is ASAP.

You will plan, teach and assess maths for KS2 pupils, focusing on small-group delivery and targeted progression. The position offers professional development within a supportive school environment.

Chorley New Road Primary Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled part-time teacher to join our team and provide high-quality maths teaching to a group of pupils within Key Stage 2.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and enjoys working with pupils in a smaller-group setting, enabling teaching to be carefully targeted to pupils’ needs.

he successful candidate will work each morning from 8:30am until 12:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a particular responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing mathematics for an identified group of KS2 pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of the KS2 mathematics curriculum.
  • Has high expectations for every pupil and believes that all children can achieve highly.
  • Can deliver engaging, well-structured and appropriately challenging maths lessons.
  • Uses assessment effectively to identify gaps, adapt teaching and accelerate progress.
  • Is confident working with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Is enthusiastic, positive and committed to working as part of a supportive team.
