Job summary

Trinity Academy Leeds is seeking a Maths Teacher for KS4 Exam Intervention to support students in achieving strong GCSE results. You will work within a mission-driven team, delivering targeted interventions and using AFL/QLA to accelerate progress in Maths.

Qualifications

Our school is now in its fourth year and currently has 1,200 students on roll and continues to be heavily oversubscribed. We are looking for a strong, ambitious, and intelligent team player who is passionate about their subject and in supporting young people to enjoy and succeed through the study of Maths. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with and gets excited by their discipline, reading widely and keeping abreast of research informed developments in their subject.

In addition to a strong level of subject expertise, they set the highest of standards for student behaviour and focus and are organised as well as reliable. They have a solid understanding of curriculum design and effective pedagogical approaches and champion a knowledge rich curriculum.

This role would suit a candidate who is experienced in taking students, from all starting points, through to strong results in their GCSE exams and has a strong record of outcomes and is able to demonstrate a clear pattern of impact.

The role involves working with KS4 students in small class sizes where teaching is both dynamic and adaptive with AFL and QLA driving teaching and learning. The ideal candidate is highly organised and driven and data literate, able to create high-quality resources and form positive and motivational relationships with young people.
