Job description

Teacher Childcare Salary: £24,894 - £27,960 per annum (£30,702 - £34,484, full time equivalent) Contract Type: Permanent Part Time 30 hours per week Reference: REC2503 | Closing Date: Sunday 27th September 2026 The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our Childcare and Education Professions department. You will deliver high quality teaching and learning across a range of childcare programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for progression into employment or further study. Working closely with Course Leaders, Tutorial Learning Mentors and wider curriculum teams, you will contribute to curriculum development, create engaging learning resources and support learners to achieve their maximum potential. You will play a key role in improving student attendance, retention, achievement and success rates whilst providing academic and pastoral support throughout the learner journey. The successful candidate will contribute to enrolment activities, learner reviews, parent evenings and promotional events, helping to drive the continued success and growth of the department. About You You are an enthusiastic and motivational educator with experience of delivering learning within an educational setting. You have a strong understanding of the needs of vocational learners and are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. You will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop engaging teaching materials that inspire learners to achieve their goals. A commitment to safeguarding, professional development and delivering outstanding learner experiences is essential.

Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English (Level 2 or equivalent)
