Job summary

ISP School Battle in Battle, East Sussex, is seeking an inspirational qualified teacher to work with pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4, specialising in Science, Maths and the wider curriculum for learners with SEMH, ASC and related needs.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, use our positive behaviour policy to support learning, and contribute to safeguarding and DBS processes. Hold QTS responsibilities and work in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS and SEN experience with SEMH/ASC.
• Experience teaching KS3/KS4 with diverse needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills and classroom discipline.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum across multiple areas, especially Science/Maths.
• Reflective practitioner with ability to adapt lessons to individual learners.

Responsibilities

• Teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group
• Use our positive behaviour policy to hold our children to account and to enable them to become responsible citizens
• Motivate our children to want to access learning, develop a love of learning and thrive, The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by ISP School Battle.

Situated in the lovely setting of Glengorse Estate in Battle, East Sussex, ISP School provides specialist education for 7-18-year-olds with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), communication and interaction, cognition, and learning needs.

Our mission is to provide each child with a diverse and appropriate education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline and engagement, inspires learning, and encourages aspiration and achievement.

We are looking for an inspirational qualified teacher who has experience working with vulnerable children in school across key stages 3 and 4 and is prepared to teach/guide children particularly in Science, Maths and the wider curriculum.

Role Responsibilities

• Teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
