Job summary

Elderbrook School, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking a School Chef/Cook to join the kitchen team. The role is 32 hours per week across 46 weeks per year, delivering nutritious meals to pupils and supporting school events.

You’ll ensure high standards of hygiene, safety and budgeting while contributing to pupil wellbeing. The successful candidate will be a team player with knowledge of food safety, dietary requirements and catering experience, preferably in an education setting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and dietary requirements.
• Experience in catering or a similar role, school/education setting desirable.
• Ability to manage budgets and stock with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, drinks and snacks meeting pupils’ cultural and dietary needs.

Opened in 2015, Elderbrook School (formerly Arc School Old Arley) is an independent special day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, affording children and young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities within the local community.
