Job summary

NICE – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence is seeking Topic Advisers to update its TB guidance. Roles include consultant paediatrician or consultant adult physician providing expert clinical advice, scoping, responding to queries and quality assurance of guidance content.

Advisers attend committee meetings (up to 6 per year), contribute to deliberations, and ensure evidence is interpreted and applied.

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care with TB diagnosis and management.
• Active registration with the appropriate professional body.
• A license to practice as a clinician.
• Ability to understand NICE policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attend committee meetings and contribute to TB guidance updates.
• Provide expert clinical advice to the guideline Chair and staff.
• Support scoping, respond to queries and quality assure content.
• Contribute to discussion and ensure evidence is applied appropriately.
