Bennett and Game has the pleasure of working with a top Accountancy Practice located in Stoke-on-Trent, who are now seeking a Tax Semi Senior / Senior to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. The firm are offering a competitive starting salary along with an excellent benefits scheme. This tax-based role is suitable for a Tax Semi Senior with 2-3 years' experience working in an accountancy firm who is seeking a well-rounded mixed tax position.

Tax Semi Senior Job Overview

1. Preparing self-assessment personal tax returns and assisting with fundamental tax compliance tasks.
2. Processing and preparing P11d forms, and handling various ad-hoc queries.
3. Serving as the primary point of contact with both HMRC and clients.
4. Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
5. Supporting the delivery of tax advisory work to business owners, including tax planning, advising on the acquisition and disposal of businesses and properties, inheritance tax, and estate planning.
6. Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
7. Some exposure to VAT issues would be advantageous but is not essential.

Tax Semi Senior Job Requirements

• Either be qualified to AAT Level 4, or studying ACCA or CTA.
• Have basic knowledge of personal tax.
• Have experience working in an accountancy practice in a mixed tax role.
