Tax Senior

Are you an experienced tax professional ready to take the next step in your career?

A highly regarded accountancy practice based in Shaftesbury is looking for a Tax Senior to support their expanding portfolio of private clients, estates, and trusts.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated tax professional to step into a key role within a friendly, knowledgeable team. You’ll be managing your own portfolio, building client relationships, and getting involved in a mix of compliance and advisory work.

Role Responsibilities

• Handle a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, landlords, trusts, and business owners
• Prepare and review personal and trust tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission
• Assist with tax advisory work, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and estate planning
• Liaise with HMRC and respond to client queries in a clear, professional manner
• Develop strong relationships with clients through consistent communication and reliable service delivery
• Keep up to date with tax legislation and maintain high technical standards
• Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues, fostering team development

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a personal, corporate or mixed tax role within practice
• ATT or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Strong technical understanding of personal tax and trust tax matters
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to clients
• Self-motivated and highly organised, particularly during busy tax return seasons
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues and clients
