PwC is seeking a Senior Associate for its Tax Risk and Dispute Resolution team in the UK. The role focuses on helping clients manage relationships with HMRC through robust risk frameworks and effective dispute resolution, drawing on a multi-disciplinary team of former HMRC officers, advisers, lawyers and accountants.

What Your Days Will Look Like

• Supporting clients with tax governance, including Tax Strategy, Senior Accounting Officer, CCO legislation, Business Risk Review requirements, and the design and documentation of effective tax risk and control frameworks.
• Managing HMRC enquiries, investigations, formal disclosures, correspondence, and discussions, while helping clients navigate complex compliance issues clearly, confidently, and commercially.
• Analysing and advising on HMRC powers, including error penalties, assessments, information notices, reviews, appeals, and related procedural matters.
• Applying dispute resolution techniques, including negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and formal appeals, while supporting market-facing business development and contributing to the team’s continued growth.
