Job summary

TC Group in Peterborough is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a diverse client portfolio, delivering tax compliance and advisory services with strong relationship management. The role offers hybrid working, development support, and a collaborative culture within a growing Top 20 firm.

You will manage tax obligations, drive advisory opportunities, and mentor colleagues while contributing to the department's growth and performance across the firm.

Qualifications

• CTA qualified with at least 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of self‑assessment tax clients and the timely delivery of high‑quality work.
• Supporting clients with tax compliance requirements, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax, personal tax, and trust tax matters.
• Identifying and advising on tax planning opportunities and technical issues, including capital gains tax and residence matters.
• Preparing tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, tax accounting schedules and supporting audit requirements.
• Building strong relationships with clients and collaborating across the wider business.
• Traveling to other offices as required to support clients and the tax team.
• Managing work in progress, monitoring debtors, raising fees and budgeting for the department.
• Providing tax support to colleagues across other service lines and mentoring team members.
