Job summary

TC Group, a Top 20 UK accountancy firm, is seeking a Tax Manager or Assistant Manager to join the Northampton team. You’ll lead a varied client portfolio, oversee tax returns and computations, and deliver advisory work within a supportive, ambitious practice.

Qualifications

• Experience at Manager level in practice with tax mix.
• Strong client handling and ability to manage deadlines.
• Technically curious with advisory exposure.
• CTA / ACA / ACCA / ATT (or QBE) qualification.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio across client types with cross-border considerations.
• Review and oversee high-quality delivery of tax returns and computations.
• Identify risk areas and improve processes across portfolio.
• Spot opportunities and raise them with Partners/Directors.
• Translate complex tax into clear, practical client advice.
• Coach and develop junior team members; review their work.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture and raise service standards.
