Job summary

TC Group in Rochester is seeking a Tax Senior to join a busy tax team within a fast-growing Top 20 accountancy firm. You will handle a mixed portfolio of advisory and compliance work for owner-managed businesses and support Directors in the tax team.

Qualifications

• ATT or CTA qualification required.
• 5 years’ tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong tax knowledge and client-facing advisory experience.
• Experience with MS Office; CCH accounting software advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio including planning and advisory projects.
• Review and support to the compliance team responsible for personal tax returns for a range of clients.
• Review and support relating to corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts department.
• Preparation/Review of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns.
• Preparing/Reviewing ERS and EMI returns.
• Liaising directly with HMRC in relation to enquiries and investigations.
• Supporting and mentoring the more junior members of the team.
