Job Opportunity: Tax Manager

Sewell Wallis is currently collaborating with an impressive Sheffield-based professional services firm to appoint a Tax Manager. This South Yorkshire business is renowned for employee retention, talent nurturing, and personal development opportunities.

The Tax Manager will join a two-person team handling both Corporate and Personal tax. To succeed, you must possess excellent organizational skills and will oversee the progress of compliance work, reporting directly to the Partners.

As the role progresses, with increased client interaction, there is potential involvement in broader tax planning and advisory services.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare personal, partnership, and trust tax returns, managing approximately 350 returns, including data collection, completion, filing, and billing.
2. Maintain communication with clients regarding liabilities and liaise with HMRC as needed.
3. Collaborate with the accounts department on corporate tax computations, financial reporting, and finalizing computations for client approval before filing.
4. Handle P11D benefits reporting and ensure timely reporting and filing.

Required Skills

• Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CTA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in both Corporate and Personal Tax.
• Exceptional customer service, advisory skills, and positive communication at all levels.
