Job Opportunity: Tax Manager

Sewell Wallis is working with an impressive Sheffield-based professional services firm to appoint a Tax Manager. This South Yorkshire business is renowned for employee retention, talent nurturing, and personal development opportunities.

The Tax Manager will join a two-person team handling both Corporate and Personal tax. Key skills include excellent organizational abilities and monitoring compliance work, with direct reporting to Partners.

As the role evolves, there is potential for involvement in tax planning and advisory services, especially with increased client contact.

Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of personal, partnership, and trust returns, managing approximately 350 personal tax returns from data collection to billing.
  2. Client communication regarding liabilities and correspondence with HMRC.
  3. Collaborate with the accounts department on corporate tax computations, financial reporting, and client approvals before filing.
  4. Manage P11D benefits reporting, ensuring accurate data collection and filing.
Required Skills
  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA or CTA) or qualified by experience.
  • Experience in both Corporate and Personal Tax.
  • Strong customer service and advisory skills, with positive communication at all levels.
