Qualifications

• 4–6+ PQE with strong experience in contentious tax work.
• Litigation experience in tax disputes or commercial litigation preferred.
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advising on tax disputes and risk management.
• Acting on appeals before Tax Tribunals and higher courts.
• Collaborating closely with other legal and tax professionals.

I'm working with a leading international firm looking to add an experienced Tax Disputes Associate to its highly regarded team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on market-leading tax litigation and contentious tax advisory matters — acting for major corporates, financial institutions, and high-profile individuals.

The role:

• Advising on direct and indirect tax disputes
• Handling complex HMRC enquiries and investigations
• Acting on appeals before Tax Tribunals and higher courts
• Advising on tax risk management and pre-emptive strategies
• Working closely with specialist counsel, accountants, and in-house tax/legal teams
• 4–6+ PQE (more senior applicants welcome)
• Strong experience in contentious tax work (direct and/or indirect)
• Litigation experience — ideally in tax disputes, commercial litigation or regulatory investigations
• Excellent written advocacy and drafting skills
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage client relationships
