Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and highly qualified associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our Commercial Litigation team dedicated to representing technology companies facing disputes internationally.

As a team member, you will have the opportunity to support technology companies on regulatory, litigation, compliance, and criminal matters worldwide, and serve in a product advisory role.

You should be adept at distilling complex information into clear, insightful analyses, with strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines.

In addition to outstanding academic credentials, you should demonstrate excellent legal knowledge, a strong intellectual curiosity, and the drive to tackle challenges in a global law firm environment. Personable and cooperative, you should enjoy teamwork, and be skilled at building professional relationships. Good communication skills and a client-service mindset are essential.

We represent clients in all stages of domestic and international litigation, including trial, appellate, regulatory, and alternative dispute resolution tribunals worldwide. We are trusted advisors to leading technology companies, helping them navigate complex litigation and avoid disputes through risk management and compliance measures.

Positioned globally, we provide strategic legal and policy advice, anticipating and solving future issues in the rapidly evolving technology space, including online safety, intermediary liability, data protection, e-commerce, digital media, privacy, defamation, and more.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop litigation strategies for matters in the UK and globally, overseeing counsel as needed
  • Guide clients through regulatory engagements and investigations by agencies like OFCOM and the European Commission
  • Advise on risk assessments related to new products, policies, and business structures
  • Research and analyze laws impacting social media and technology companies, including liability and defamation issues
  • Review and advise on proposed legislation and regulations worldwide
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Commercial Litigation and/or regulatory work, in private practice
  • Strong academic record, intellectual curiosity, creative thinking
  • Interest in internet and tech law
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management, ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
  • Client-focused, team player, good judgment
  • Proactive, resourceful, takes initiative
