Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and highly qualified associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our Commercial Litigation team dedicated to representing technology companies facing disputes internationally.

As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to help provide full-service support to technology companies on regulatory, litigation, compliance, and criminal matters worldwide, as well as serve in a product advisory role.

Combining a keen eye for detail with an ability to see the bigger picture, you should be adept at distilling complex information into clear, insightful analyses that inform and strengthen your client’s position. Strong organizational and time management skills will also be significant assets, enabling you to manage multiple workstreams and produce exceptional work to tight deadlines.

In addition to outstanding academic credentials, you should demonstrate excellent legal knowledge, with a strong intellectual curiosity to keep learning and the drive to tackle challenges that come with working in a global law firm. Personable and cooperative, you should enjoy working as part of a team, and be adept at building strong professional relationships. Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Develop litigation strategies for UK and international matters, including data protection, defamation, IP infringement, consumer protection, and contract disputes; oversee local counsel as needed.
2. Guide clients through regulatory engagement and investigations by authorities such as OFCOM, the European Commission, and other agencies.
3. Advise on risk assessments related to new products, policies, and business structures.
4. Research and analyze global laws impacting social media and tech companies, including intermediary liability, hate speech, and defamation.
5. Review and advise on proposed legislation and regulations worldwide.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in Commercial Litigation and/or regulatory work, gained in private practice.
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative thinker.
• Interest in internet and tech law.
• Commercial awareness and good negotiation skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Client service focus and team-oriented mindset.
• Good judgment, proactive, resourceful, and takes initiative.
