Job summary

Core Group is seeking an experienced Taper & Jointers for an ongoing construction project in Northampton. The role is based on site with a rate of £24-£25 per hour, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, for approximately 11-12 weeks.

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card and demonstrate proven taper & jointer experience with a keen eye for a high-quality finish. 2 checkable references and strong health & safety understanding are required.

Qualifications

• Proven taper & jointer experience required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finish.
• Site health & safety awareness essential.

Responsibilities

• Taping and jointing plasterboard to a high standard.
• Apply jointing compounds and finish joints.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and decoration; sand for smooth finish.
• Follow drawings and specifications; rectify imperfections and snag as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area throughout the shift.

We are currently looking for experienced Taper & Jointers for an ongoing construction project.

Duties include:

• Taping and jointing plasterboard
• Applying jointing compounds
• Filling and finishing joints
• Installing and finishing corner beads
• Preparing surfaces for painting and decoration
• Sanding and achieving a smooth finish
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Rectifying imperfections and completing snagging
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven Taper & Jointer experience
• Good attention to detail
• Able to produce a high-quality finish
• 2 checkable references
• Good understanding of site health & safety
