Job summary

Core Group is seeking an experienced Taper & Jointer for an ongoing construction project in the Southend-on-Sea area. Work is on-site, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with a 6-week duration and CSCS card required.

You will tape plasterboard, apply jointing compounds, and ensure a high-quality finish according to project drawings and specifications. Ideal candidates will have proven taper & jointer experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce a high-quality finish.

• Proven taper & jointer experience is essential.
• Good attention to detail and ability to finish to high quality.

Responsibilities

• Taping and jointing plasterboard.
• Applying jointing compounds and finishing joints.
• Installing corner beads and preparing surfaces for painting.
• Sanding for a smooth finish and verifying accuracy against drawings.
• Rectifying imperfections and completing snagging tasks.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area.

• Taping and jointing plasterboard
• Applying jointing compounds
• Filling and finishing joints
• Installing and finishing corner beads
• Preparing surfaces for painting and decoration
• Sanding and achieving a smooth finish
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Rectifying imperfections and completing snagging
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven Taper & Jointer experience
• Good attention to detail
• Able to produce a high-quality finish
• 2 checkable references
• Good understanding of site health & safety
