Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting LGV Class 1 Drivers for Wissington depot. Shifts include Days and Tramping with average earnings around £650 per week, plus up to £60 tax-free allowances. You will work within a Foods Grade Products division, cooperating with planning, training and supervision teams in a busy logistics environment.

Applicants must hold a full HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC and Tacho Card. Training is provided for new drivers, with opportunities for experienced drivers to

• Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
• Tanker experience preferred but not essential.
• Minimum PPE of Safety Boots required.

Responsibilities

• Based at Wissington depot with variable start times, shift lengths and duties.
• Coordinate with planning, training and supervisory teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Comply with Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

Job description

Turners (Soham) Ltd is seeking to recruit LGV Class 1 Drivers to be based at our Wissington depot PE33 9QG.Shifts available: Days and Tramping Average earnings £650 plus per week and subsistence of up to £60 TAX FREE As a professional and skilled driver, you will be required to demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct to our customers. As a driver within our Foods Grade Products division, you will develop close working relationships with your planning, training, and supervisory team, and driving colleagues in an organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Our customers have variable loading and delivery times that are governed by factory production schedules, meaning that drivers will need to be flexible, when required, with shift starting and finishing times. Shift lengths do vary but you are expected to comply with all Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Turners can offer employment to suitable newly qualified drivers with limited experience, and full training will be provided to these candidates. We are also keen to engage experienced drivers who can bring expertise and knowledge to our company.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

• Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card
• Tanker experience (preferred) but not essential(No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
