Job summary

Manpower is recruiting for Tank Operatives with FLT licence to join our client’s site in Stoney Stanton. The role involves manual handling of LPG vessels, working outdoors in all weathers, with a 40-hour week and 08:00–16:30 shifts.

Salary is £14.50 per hour with a fixed-term contract from 26/10/26 to 29/01/27 and potential extension after review. Perks include free on-site parking, PPE, training via MyPath.

Qualifications

• FLT Counterbalance licence required.
• Experience in production/manufacturing or labouring is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safety-first operation and drive towards a compliant and incident-free workplace.
• Move tanks within the Tank Section yard following site transport rules and traffic plans.
• Safely move, load and unload LPG vessels in compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate all machinery safely per manufacturer instructions and work instructions.
• Perform tank segregation and manage general tank storage in the yard.
• Charge LPG vessels with gas as per approved procedures.
• Record serial numbers of LPG vessels entering and leaving the yard.
• Direct inbound/outbound trailers to designated parking bays.
• Carry out full trailer load inspections to ensure loads are safe and compliant.

Shifts 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday, (minus 30 minutes unpaid break)

Expectations of the role

• Experience in production, manufacturing, construction, or labouring highly beneficial

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safety first operation and drive towards a compliant and incident free workplace.
• Complete all tank movements within the Tank Section yard, ensuring all movements adhere to the local site transport rules and traffic management plans.
• Responsible for the safe movement, loading, and unloading of LPG vessels across the yard, in compliance with safety regulations, ensuring daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Operating all machinery in a safe manner, in line with manufacturer's instructions and Work Instructions
• Perform tank segregation and manage general tank storage within the yard.
• Gas-charge new LPG vessels in accordance with approved procedures.
• Capture, record, and track serial numbers of all LPG vessels entering and leaving the yard.
• Manage inbound and outbound trailers, directing vehicles to designated parking bays
• Complete full trailer load inspections, to ensure tank quality and that loads are safe and comply with all company policies and most up to date legislation
